Cool Renewal Med Spa is the only spa in the Charlotte, North Carolina area to focus exclusively on CoolSculpting treatments, so it’s safe to say that we stand by the effectiveness of this procedure. While CoolSculpting is not at all invasive and carries no risk of infection, we understand that it’s easy to feel anxious about a new procedure. To help alleviate those nerves and put you at ease for your appointment, in this article, we’ll go over what to expect from your CoolSculpting procedure.
The first step of any CoolSculpting procedure is to assess the size and shape of the fatty deposit in question, which your trained CoolSculpting technician will outline with a skin-marking pencil. Next, a gel pad is applied to the area to protect the skin, and the fatty deposit is suctioned into the hollow opening of the applicator device–you will feel a gentle tugging sensation as the suction is applied. After that, our technician will use the applicator to gradually cool the fat deposit to 11 degrees Fahrenheit, which can take up to an hour. You may feel some minor tingling, stinging, or cramping as the area first starts to cool, but these sensations will lessen after 5 to 10 minutes as the area becomes numb. Once the treatment is complete, your trained CoolSculpting technician will remove the applicator and help you go about your day.
We at Cool Renewal Med Spa hope that this information helps set your mind at ease regarding our CoolSculpting procedures. If you have further questions about what to expect or how to prepare, just give us a call.
