Ashley Underwood, FNP – Nurse Practitioner
Ashley Underwood has been a board certified Nurse Practitioner for over 12 years. She specializes in our injectable services, laser treatments and weight loss options. She graduated with her Masters degree in 2012 from West Virginia University and has been living in the Carolinas ever since. She has experience in cardiology, primary care & retail health but has been working in aesthetics since 2021. She has always been passionate about skin care, aging gracefully & helping patients on their journey to look and feel their best!
Holly Phifer, ME- Medical Esthetician
Holly Phifer serves as a Senior Body Contouring Specialist in our South Charlotte location. Holly joined Cool Renewal Med Spa from a large dermatology practice here in Charlotte. Her clinical experience is extremely varied. She has performed CoolSculpting here at Cool Renewal Med Spa since 2014 and has performed thousands of treatments. Holly is a Medical Aesthetician, has an Associate of Arts degree and attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She earned her Master’s in CoolSculpting from CoolSculpting University in Reston, VA. Holly is deeply committed to her patients and their quality treatments.
Lauren Howie, ME- Medical Esthetician
Lauren Howie serves as our Lead Esthetician in our South Charlotte location. Lauren is a Charlotte native who is passionate about esthetics and thrives on helping clients achieve exceptional results. She has earned her CoolSculpting degree at CoolSculpting University in Reston, VA and is committed to delivering an incredible and unique experience to each client. Lauren understands the subtle relationship between looking one’s best and feeling one’s best. She loves the industry where she can help others transformation into the best version of themselves. Lauren has a diverse background that was focused on the customer experience and service. She is excited to bring those customer service skills to Cool Renewal Med Spa to make every client encounter a memorable one.
Sandy Crowell, ME- Medical Esthetician
Sandy joined our Cool Renewal team as a Medical Esthetician after graduating from the Academy of Nail Technology and Esthetics. She performs CoolSculpting, CoolTone, Scarlet SRF Microneedling, and Aquafirme facials. She has a passion for all things esthetics and thrives on helping clients look and feel their very best. Sandy’s favorite part of her job is educating her clients. When clients truly understand their procedures, pre-during-post, their outcomes are very rewarding. As a graduate of Cool Sculpting University, and with a degree in Nutrition, she feels confident, and looks forward to leading you through your esthetic and Coolsculpting journey.
Kari Stolzenbach, RN
Kari Stolzenbach serves as Body Contouring Specialist and Nurse in our Lake Norman Center. Kari grew up in the Lake Norman area and graduated Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with her nursing degree. She earned her Master’s in CoolSculpting from CoolSculpting University in Reston, VA. She has 25 years of nursing experience where she has been focused on patient care and outcomes. She is passionate about esthetics and committed to delivering individualized high quality care to her patients. Kari loves bringing her customer service skills to Cool Renewal Med Spa to deliver excellent results.
Lisa Schloeder, RN
Lisa Schloeder is a Registered Nurse and Body Contouring Specialist at Cool Renewal Med Spa. She relocated to Charlotte over 30 years ago following graduation from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing/Marshall University in Huntington, WV. She has focused her career in direct patient care in the acute and outpatient settings. Lisa earned her Master’s in CoolSculpting from CoolSculpting University in Reston, VA. She is dedicated to offering exceptional care by utilizing her skills and knowledge to provide excellent outcomes for clients seeking results with CoolSculpting and CoolTone.
Yaminy Veil
Yaminy Viel is the warm and welcoming face at our front desk and voice on the phone, making sure every patient’s visit runs smoothly from check-in to checkout. With a strong background in customer service and office coordination, she combines professionalism with genuine care to create a seamless experience for our patients. Fluent in English and Spanish, Yaminy is passionate about clear communication, organization, and helping each patient feel comfortable and supported throughout their journey with us.
Stephanie Klimenko, LPN, M-IV
Stephanie Klimenko serves as our Manager of the South Charlotte and Lake Norman Body Contouring Centers. Stephanie is an experienced Nurse and Body Contouring Specialist. She has performed thousands of CoolSculpting treatments and has been recognized as one of the most experienced CoolSculpters in the country. She earned her Master’s in CoolSculpting from Cool Sculpting University in Reston, VA. This new education is only available to the best of the best and Stephanie is ready to take our CoolSculpting results to new heights. She has her nursing degree from Fortis College in Ohio and her undergraduate degree from the University of Akron. She has her nursing certification in both North Carolina and Ohio. As our Cool Renewal Med Spa Manager, Stephanie is focused on overall patient care and amazing Body Contouring results.
Brad Jensen, Director of Operations
Brad Jensen serves as our Director of Operations and business manager. Brad has spent his entire career in consulting and the financial services industries. Brad has BA and an MBA in finance/operations. Brad and his family moved to Charlotte in 2001. For the past 20 years, Brad has been completely focused on operational excellence with the needs of the client/patient at the center of every business process. Brad is committed to make sure Cool Renewal Med Spa operates with the same focus and intensity, with an utmost dedication of taking care of the patient.
Dr. Jason Patten – Medical Director of Cool Renewal Med Spa
Dr. Jason Patten serves as the Medical Director of Cool Renewal Med Spa in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Patten has been a recognized leader in numerous fields of medicine, including Emergency Medicine, Nutrition, Weight Loss Medicine and Hormone Replacement. He has attended some of the finest programs in the country, including UAB School of Medicine, Auburn University, University of Utah, and the U.S. Air Force Academy. Dr. Patten has dedicated his entire life to saving lives and helping others. He started out as an EMT and Fireman and then joined the U.S. Air Force to become an F-16 pilot. At a unique point in his training, Dr. Patten was deployed to Iraq as an F-16 pilot while in medical school, but was able to continue his medical training by performing trauma research and assisting in the hospital between combat missions. Dr. Patten continues to serve as a Flight Surgeon in the Air National Guard and as an Emergency Medicine Physician in multiple ER facilities. Dr. Patten brings a wealth of knowledge to Cool Renewal Med Spa. Dr. Patten’s unique experience in multiple areas of medicine, optimizing the human body and improving people’s lives, is a complete match with Cool Renewal Med Spa’s mission. His is committed to ensuring his patients are living their best lives. Dr. Patten believes that medicine is here to give us another option as we strive to achieve the best version of ourselves through both minimally invasive and non-invasive techniques that give us back our health and the happiness that comes with it.
